Axis Bank's Q2 Profit Soars 38% as Bad Loans Shrink, Boosting Indian Banking Confidence
Mumbai — Axis Bank, a big name in Indian private banking, just announced a massive 38% jump in its net profit for the July to September quarter of FY27, reaching ₹7,003 crore. This big leap was largely because the bank needed to set aside much less money for bad loans, with 'provisions' falling by a sharp 52%. What's more, the quality of its loans, also called 'asset quality', has gotten much better, showing a healthier picture for the bank.
